Hello everyone,
Its been almost a month since I last posted. What can I say? I’ve been very busy with things, not even available as often via IM or otherwise. My phone seems to be the best way to reach me. Now for some updates.
-Cell phone usage went ~20 something minutes over, it was my father who did it (I checked the bill, he used minutes each day even after we told him there weren’t anymore, in addition to making a $1.49 call to 411, when he has access to the internet at work). Naturally he wanted to blame everyone BUT himself for it, then very quietly paid the bill when it came (and damn yes I opened it before he did, since I pay half of it). I paid my usual price and he paid the rest, including those additional fees. Maybe that will teach him to check the damn minutes remaining before using the cell phone. So no more crap about cell phones, and I don’t have to switch providers until the contract expires. And he was threatening to cancel it, LOL. $250 in cancellation fees x 4 phones = $1K, not something you wanna spend for that, period.
So what that means for you who may be wondering why I put this here, this means that if you have my cell phone number, please do feel free to call me at work (after 2 PM). I’ve been waiting to hear from some of my lady-friends and miss talking to them.
-WoW ish teh aw3s0m! So yeah, I’m pretty much consuming an entire day of my weekend to WoW, spending the night partying at some club in DC (whichever one has a ‘Ladies Night’ that night, so that we have a much better chance of getting in, and the ratio of men to women being much more favorable to us), then waking up well past noon the next day. By the time I finish the stuff I should’ve done on Friday, my weekend is over. But damn if it isn’t fun. ^_^
-In WoW, I’ve moved to the WoWLegion server @ WoWscape.net. Very nice server, recently applied stability upgrade that reduces the DC’s and server crashes. You still gotta deal with them but it isn’t as bad as people claim it to be. Its like dealing with Windows ME (horribly buggy), then moving to Win98SE (semi-buggy), then upgrading to WinXP (what bugs?). We haven’t gotten to XP yet, but we’re getting there. Hope some of you understand this metaphor at least. ^^;
On there, my character is a level 29 (currently) female Blood Elf Paladin named Ayriana. I love the name, and I have a soft spot for how awesome the BE females look. Plus they got the Britney /dance emote! I’m the Guild Master of my Horde guild, Blood Ravens. We’ve got close to 100 people and continue to grow. I think we’ll max out at around 150 people, as I don’t want the guild to get way too large and unwieldy. I’ve stopped recruiting, letting the others recruit for a change. It seems that just running around and randomly inviting pre-level-10 newbies has been a successful strategy. People are kind, considerate, help each other, and its worked out much better then I ever hoped for, and then some. The guild banks were wiped clean with the recent ’stability’ update, which really sucked ass, but at least personal banks were left alone (thank god). Ok enough WoWgasms, lol.
-In non-WoW things, I may be getting a promotion at my job fairly soon, within the next 2-3 months, at most. If it takes longer then that I’ll be going ‘wtf?’. I’ve been doing pretty good, staying out of trouble (hard for a bad boy to stay outta trouble but I try), and just putting on a happy face while dealing with the stupidity of overpaid paper-pushers working for our ever-so-benevolent government of the good ‘ol USA. Whee…>> Big Brother is watching, so watch what you say, and never badmouth certain people or entities. Freedom of Speech is now an illusion….*cue Twilight Zone music*
-I’ve met some wonderful friends through various ‘meetups’ from meetup.com and even though its a bunch of strangers at first, if you choose your meetup carefully then you can find a lot of decently cool people even in this area.
